Bethany, who has her studio in Clintonville, believes in the power of art to challenge and transform.
Raised in a family of writers, wood sculptors and fabric/environmental artists, she learned early to appreciate the beauty in people, nature and things outside the box.
She considers her influences to be Andy Warhol, Gustav Klimt, Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg.
Bethany Jozwiak-Butler completed her undergraduate studies at Capital University focusing on art therapy and painting during which time she also received awards for poetry.
Currently she is an art educator at an arts integration elementary school and teaches art therapy at Columbus Collage of Art and Design.
She has worked with a variety of arts organizations such as Greater Columbus Arts Council, Cultural Arts Center and the Delaware Arts Center.
She has participated in group shows and solo shows at Shumacher Gallery at Capital University, MadLab Gallery, Junctionview Studios, the High Road Gallery and the Rock and Roll Fame Museum of Cleveland.
Her work has been commissioned for theater productions, local and national businesses as well as for private collections.
